Calling All Filmmakers

For those who have an interest in getting into TV and film production, adult has been recognized for decades as a way to get experience.
Behind the camera. In front... not so much.
Wicked Pictures has launched two contests promoting Brad Armstrong's Fallen and Michael Raven's The Wicked, the company's big productions for 2008. The promotions encourage participants to flex their creative filmmaking muscles by shooting and posting videos on YouTube.
Aspiring horror filmmakers are encouraged to create short horror videos that mention "The Wicked" and post them here.
The grand-prize winner will be featured in an upcoming Michael Raven production and will receive an autographed collector's edition of the DVD, a poster, mouse pad, beanie, T-shirt and a library of 100 Wicked Pictures DVDs.
I'm jealous. I got most of that stuff in the Wicked promo package but the movie wasn't autographed and it took me years of being on the press list to get 100 Wicked Pictures DVDs. I'm not sure I have 100 now.
The second-prize winner will receive an autographed copy of the movie and a library of 25 Wicked DVDs.
That's more like it.
Fans of Armstrong's gothic fantasy Fallen are encouraged to enter the "Confessions of a Fallen Angel" contest, which asks participants to create YouTube confessions of their deepest secrets. Contestants must mention Fallen somewhere in the video. Confessions may be submitted here.
The grand-prize winner will receive a phone call from Jessica Drake, a library of 100 Wicked DVDs and a prize pack including one autographed DVD, an autographed poster, a women's T-shirt, a men's T-shirt, a limited edition candle, a limited edition coin and one custom hat. The second-prize winner will receive a library of 25 Wicked DVDs, an autographed poster and an autographed DVD.
That's cool. I particularly like the intangible call from Jessica Drake. Sorta ties in with the supernatural story of Fallen.
For complete details, including rules, click on the The Wicked and Fallen contest pages and then write your scripts and start your cameras.
There's time to do it right. Both promotions run until March 31.
