Digital Playground Hits Half-Century Mark in Blu-ray

Digital Playground has been in the forefront of technology ever since company co-founder Joone built the first HD video camera using paper clips and chewing gum to modify a Polaroid SX-70 camera back in 1985.
Jack’s Playground 28, streeting today, is the 50th Blu-ray title from Digital Playground.
“Digital Playground produces 25 percent of the Blu-ray titles within the adult industry," Digital Playground co-founder Joone said. "When you factor in that many of the Blu-ray titles in the market were originally shot in standard definition, not high definition, our presence in the market is probably closer to 50 percent. Since 2004, Digital Playground has been shooting in high definition, which is the only way to optimize the resolution of the image.”
The Jack’s Playground series is a collection of Jack’s "personal" videos, homemade in Santa Monica, Calif., showcasing his uncanny ability to persuade girls to perform sexual acts in front of his camera. Digital Playground director Robby D has worked with Jack to package these video documentaries for the public.
Jack’s Playground 28 features Digital Playground contract performers Teagan Presley and Katsuni, with MacKenzie Lee, Terri Summers, Poppy Morgan, Scott Nails, Eric Masterson and Marco Duato.
“As more people purchase Blu-ray players, the demand for exciting, fresh titles is going through the roof,” Digital Playground CEO Samantha Lewis said. “The 2008 holiday season will revolve around Blu-ray. Blu-ray players and titles have seen a steady growth since the end of the HD wars, and everyone expects a dramatic spike when the cost drops in November. Special features for Jack’s Playground 28 include a photo gallery, audio commentary, and bonus trailers. Jack’s Playground 28 is presented in 16:9 widescreen format with 5.1 digital surround sound and no regional coding.
